“I have always believed that fashion was not only to make women more beautiful but also to reassure them, give them confidence.“
Yves Saint Laurent

Never underestimate the power of fashion. Sometimes all it takes to gain back your confidence is a cute outfit and a badass song. So, are you gonna keep dreaming dressed in your pyjies forever or are you gonna dress like the girlboss you are? It’s all up to you.
Embrace your femininity.
How many times did you treat yourself with beautiful lingerie? And what I mean by that is to buy a sexy bodysuit, not because of a guy in your life but because it will make you feel like a goddess. Your own goddess.
I feel like society unconsciously made us lose our feminine side, it made us even feel embarrassed of it in some type of way like we own this to someone else and not ourselves. I can only feel pity for the girls who think this way because they haven’t known what self-love is.
So, here is my advice for you, baby girl:
The next time you will feel unconfident, wear your favorite lingerie, stand in front of the mirror for one minute and name what you love about your body. Don’t you love yourself a little bit more now?
Stay classy.
“Girls don’t dress for boys.”
As much as I want to believe that this statement is 100% accurate, it’s not at least on my eyes. I have seen countless young girls dressing up for boys only to receive a single compliment. A compliment which can’t describe the depth of their mind and soul but it’s only focused on their appearance. I know for a fact that there are girls out there who are looking for someone to call them beautiful to feel that way because I used to be one of them.
“Girls who respect themselves, those who don’t depend just on their looks, those who have found self-love, those who are confident in their own skin, those who are not ashamed to talk about their flaws and insecurities, those are the girls who don’t dress for boys.”
My point is there is no need to show a lot of skin to feel attractive. Elegance has its own charm. Don’t get it the wrong way, you are free to dress however you like, it’s your choice, but do it for yourself without any ulterior motives.
BE YOU. DO YOU. FOR YOU.
A confident woman will show nothing more than her silhouette, her mind, and her personality. She will stand out not because she wears a mini dress but because of her enchanting aura. The way she moves, the way she talks, the way she thinks is what makes her unforgettable.
Get to know every inch of your body.
It’s important to know your body, to be aware of your strong characteristics as well as your flaws and imperfections since only then you will be able to dress for it. Body positivity is all about loving and accepting yourself for who you are, the goods and the bads. Don’t close your eyes on your flaws and imperfections, every inch of your body is yours, it’s where your soul rests, it’s what makes you one of a kind. Self-hate will lead you nowhere, it’s not the answer you are looking for.
“Some may think that hiding your imperfection beneath clothes is a shine of weakness but for me is a shine of power, this is the power of fashion, this is its way to make you feel strong, unstoppable, CONFIDENT! When you look good, you feel good…simple as that.”
Dress accordingly to your body type and figure. Finding the perfect fit may be a challenge but trust me, it is the key to enhance your silhouette. Once you know what looks good on you, make sure to stick to it. Of course, you can play around with different trends but only go for the ones that represent your style and flatter your body. This isn’t about you being afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone, it’s about you knowing and accepting your body for what it is.
