“I like my money right where I can see it: hanging in my closet.”
Here are all the shopping tips you need to know so as to achieve your dream closet, especially if you are on a budget.
Make a list.
Put priorities! Write a list of the things that you really need that moment! That way you will not end up buying just cute random stuff!
Go for basics.
Make sure that you have enough basic pieces in your wardrobe. Choose neutral colored clothes that are always in fashion and they are easy to mix and match such as grey, black, white, beige!
Quality than Quantity
Most of us think that if we buy a lot of cheap clothes that will allow us to create our dream closet. That is not true, trust me! Buy quality clothes that will last for years and add new pieces to your collection every year! It will take you some time to accomplish your goal but it’s definitely worth it!
Don’t follow trends blindly.
Fashion is not about trends! Try to incorporate some of them into your own personal style so that way you will stand out from the rest! Don’t care if something is not on trend, rock it if you want to!
Dress for your body shape.
Knowing your body structure and all your flaws and imperfections is really important! That way you will be able to choose the perfect fit for you that will cover your flaws and will highlight the beautiful parts of your body!
1, 2, 3…
With all this fashion influence from bloggers, YouTubers, magazines it’s really easy to get carried away and purchase something from pure excitement. So, before buying a clothing piece try to think of at least 3 outfits you could match it from your wardrobe.
Is it love at first sight?
Ok, we all have been here. You know, it’s the feeling when you see something you really love in store but your brain can’t stop telling you that you probably don’t need it. The best thing you can do in this scenario is just to give yourself some time. If you can’t stop thinking about it after a whole week, go and get it. It was meant to be, what can I say.
“The internet can be a dangerous place.”
Avoid scrolling through your favorite online stores every time you feel bored. Nothing good will come out of this, except from an empty credit card and a closet full of clothes you don’t need. My advice? Get an actual hobby.
Always double check.
With all the chaos that’s going on at fitting rooms, it’s easy not to notice a fault on a clothing piece. So, before removing the labels, always try it on at home, take your time to make sure it fits you well and there are no faults on it. Check the stitches, look for stains and make sure it’s not ripped.
Shop on sales!
Prioritize to shop from expensive/high-end brands on sales. We all have something on our wishlist that we can’t afford under normal circumstances. Be patient, save money and grab your chance when it’s on sale. Also, be on the look-out for some coupon codes from your favorite brands and influencers for some extra discount.
